Custom Maternity & Baby Clothing Manufacturer

Why Brands Choose KoalaPurr as Their Maternity Wear Manufacturer

KoalaPurr is a Dongguan-based maternity and baby clothing manufacturer producing nursing sleepwear, baby rompers, sleep sacks and toddler pajama sets for private label brands. As a baby sleepwear manufacturer we develop maternity and infant styles in the same sampling room and to the same minimums, with sampling in 7 to 14 days and bulk production in 24 to 30 days. The workshop holds ISO 9001, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX and EC REP credentials for US and EU buyers.

Cotton and Bamboo at the Core of the Range

Organic cotton and 100% cotton carry the baby bodysuits and sleep sacks, bamboo viscose runs through the sleep sacks and toddler sets, and modal gives the maternity sleepwear its drape. Each sub-category gets the fabric it suits.

Maternity Styles Built Around Nursing Access

Button-front plackets, wrap fronts and adjustable waists are standard on maternity styles, so a set still works in the third trimester and through the first months of nursing.

Baby Construction Rules Are Stricter

Closures are chosen by age band: wrap front and snap tape for newborns, side zip and full-length zip with a chin guard for older babies, so no hardware presses against the skin.

Age-Banded Sizing, Not Scaled Adults

Baby sizes run 0–24M, toddlers start at 2T, and maternity is graded S–XL on a third-trimester block. Every band can be adjusted to your own size chart.

What You Can Specify in a Private Label Maternity and Baby Range

Every style is developed from your brief rather than picked from a fixed catalogue. These are the variables you control, and the one that changes the garment most is construction: how much the knit stretches, where a closure sits, and how much fill goes inside a sleep sack.

Fabrics
Modal, bamboo viscose, organic cotton, 100% cotton and cotton rib. Modal gives maternity sleepwear its drape, bamboo runs through the sleep sacks and toddler sets, and the baby bodysuits stay on cotton and cotton rib.
Construction
Knit as standard across maternity sleepwear, rompers, sleep sacks and toddler pajama sets. This single choice sets stretch, seam type and how the garment behaves in a hot wash, and it is why closures are placed where a baby cannot press against them.
Maternity features
Button-front and wrap-front nursing access, adjustable waists, and three-piece sets where the nursing top is sold with separate shorts and trousers rather than one fixed pairing.
Baby closures
Wrap front, snap tape, side zip and full-length zip with a chin guard, selected by age band so the closure suits how a baby is dressed at that stage.
Sleep sacks
Side-zip opening, sleeveless or long sleeve, and fill weight set to the TOG rating your market requires. Sizing follows length and age rather than a standard garment block.
Sizes
Baby 0–24M, toddler from 2T, and maternity S–XL sized on a third-trimester block with an adjustable waist. Any band can be adjusted to your own size chart or built as a made-to-measure range.
Colours and prints
Solid dyeing matched to a Pantone reference, stripes, rainbow and character prints, and ruffle or textured stripe finishes on selected styles.
Labels and packaging
Woven labels, care and content labels, hangtags, polybags and gift boxes, so a maternity set and a baby style from the same collection can ship under one brand.
Certifications
ISO 9001, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX and EC REP, covering the quality, social compliance and chemical safety documentation retailers ask for in this category.
Sampling
Reference-set matching and pre-production samples, typically within 7 to 14 days, checked as a finished garment before anything is cut for bulk.

How to Place a Custom Maternity and Baby Order

A standard OEM sleepwear production run moves through five stages, and you approve the output of the first three before bulk starts.

  1. 01

    Share Your Brief

Sub-category, fabric direction, closure type, size bands, target quantity and market.

  2. 02

    Fabric and Colour Approval

We propose fabrics, weights and trims, then send swatches and lab dips for sign-off.

  3. 03

    Fit and Pre-Production Sampling

Samples are developed in about 7 to 14 days, checked as a finished garment in every size band, then reviewed and approved.

  4. 04

    Bulk Production

Cutting, sewing, closures, finishing and in-line checks, with every piece built to the approved sample. Bulk takes about 24 to 30 days after approval.

  5. 05

    Inspection and Shipping

Final quality inspection, packing to your specification, and export documents.

Maternity and Baby Sleepwear Manufacturing FAQs

The questions buyers ask most often before placing a first maternity or baby order.

What is the difference between a romper, a bodysuit and a sleep sack?

A bodysuit is the base layer with a snapped crotch, a romper is a one-piece that covers the legs as daywear or sleepwear, and a sleep sack is a sleeveless wearable blanket with no legs at all. All three are made here, and the choice usually follows the age band rather than the season.

How is maternity sleepwear sized and how does nursing access work?

Maternity styles are graded on a third-trimester block with extra room through the body and an adjustable waist, rather than a scaled-up regular size. Nursing access is built into the pattern: a button-front placket, a wrap front, or a pull-aside panel, so the opening is functional rather than decorative.

What should we check before ordering baby sleepwear for our market?

Children's sleepwear carries its own labelling, sizing and flammability requirements, and they differ by market. Our approach is to keep the construction simple and tell us where you sell: we confirm which documentation and which fit classification apply to your order before sampling.

Can a maternity style and a newborn style be developed as one collection?

Yes. Both run through the same development team and the same sampling room, so a nursing set and a newborn romper can be matched on fabric, colour and trims and shipped under one label. Sampling runs 7 to 14 days either way, and both sit inside the same 100-piece minimum.

What is the minimum order quantity for maternity and baby styles?

100 pieces per style and colour, which is deliberately low for a manufacturer. Size bands can be mixed inside that quantity, which matters most in baby ranges where demand per size is small: a single 100-piece order can carry 0–24M across several bands.

How do these garments hold up to frequent hot washing?

Baby and toddler garments are washed far more often and at higher temperatures than adult sleepwear, so shrinkage, colourfastness and seam strength are checked on the approved sample before bulk. If your market washes at high temperature, tell us and we will set the fabric and finishing accordingly.
