Custom Women's Cotton Linen Pajama Set with Lace Trim
A cotton-linen pyjama in a clear chartreuse, built around a square neckline finished with a narrow white lace, a short button placket and a gathered yoke. The sleeve is bracelet length and closes with an elasticated ruffle cuff, also laced; the pant is a wide leg with an elastic waist and a lace-trimmed hem. Linen is what gives the colour its depth - a plant dye or a garment wash sits differently on a linen blend than on cotton alone, and it is why this green reads warm rather than acid. Shown in chartreuse with white lace; the colour and the lace width can both be changed.

The square neckline is the technical centre of this garment: four corners have to sit flat, and on a linen blend the cloth wants to bow. The neckline is faced with a shaped piece cut to the same grain, under-stitched, and only then is the lace applied over the seam line, which is why the trim follows the corner instead of cutting across it. Linen also shrinks and creases unevenly, so the panel is washed and relaxed before cutting; if it is cut straight off the roll, the square neck will pull out of shape after the first wash. The ruffle cuff is gathered on an elastic rather than a fixed band, which lets the sleeve sit at the wrist without a button.
