How to Measure Loungewear
Body measurements describe the wearer; garment measurements describe the finished product. Keep these separate when comparing sizes.

Body Measurements
Measure bust, natural waist and hips around the body. Body measurements help you choose an intended size range, while inseam helps evaluate trouser length.
Garment Measurements
Lay garments flat without stretching. Bust and hip circumferences are typically twice the flat width; lengths and inseams are single measurements. Confirm the method for elastic waists and leg openings.

These are reference measurements reproduced from the current guide, not approved production specifications. Please confirm each chart against a physical sample.
Sweatshirt & Hoodie Sets
Crewneck sweatshirts and pullover hoodies paired with lounge pants. The reference chart represents a roomy, full-length set; cropped tops and joggers require their own specifications.

| Size | Bust | Elastic waist | Hip | Sleeve length | Top length | Pant length | Inseam |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 105 | 68–83 | 109 | 58 | 66 | 98 | 69 |
| M | 111 | 73–89 | 114 | 59 | 68 | 99 | 70 |
| L | 118 | 79–96 | 121 | 60 | 70 | 100 | 71 |
| XL | 126 | 86–104 | 129 | 61 | 72 | 101 | 72 |
| 2XL | 136 | 94–114 | 139 | 62 | 74 | 102 | 73 |
| 3XL | 147 | 104–125 | 150 | 63 | 76 | 103 | 74 |
Reference block: roomy sweatshirt with full-length pants. Confirm shoulder position and whether sleeve length is measured from the shoulder seam.
Zip-Up Lounge Sets
Zip-up hoodies and matching pants, including full-length versions. A cropped zip hoodie needs a separate top-length chart.

| Size | Bust | Elastic waist | Hip | Sleeve length | Top length | Pant length | Inseam |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 103 | 68–83 | 109 | 59 | 68 | 98 | 69 |
| M | 109 | 73–89 | 114 | 60 | 70 | 99 | 70 |
| L | 116 | 79–96 | 121 | 61 | 72 | 100 | 71 |
| XL | 124 | 86–104 | 129 | 62 | 74 | 101 | 72 |
| 2XL | 134 | 94–114 | 139 | 63 | 76 | 102 | 73 |
| 3XL | 145 | 104–125 | 150 | 64 | 78 | 103 | 74 |
Reference block: full-length zip-up top and trousers. Opening style does not, by itself, determine a fixed amount of wearing ease.
Knit Lounge Sets
Ribbed, waffle, pointelle and other textured knit sets. Stretch and recovery depend on the selected material and knit construction.

| Size | Bust | Elastic waist | Hip | Sleeve length | Top length | Pant length | Inseam |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 101 | 68–83 | 107 | 57 | 62 | 96 | 68 |
| M | 107 | 73–89 | 112 | 58 | 64 | 97 | 69 |
| L | 114 | 79–96 | 119 | 59 | 66 | 98 | 70 |
| XL | 122 | 86–104 | 127 | 60 | 68 | 99 | 71 |
| 2XL | 132 | 94–114 | 137 | 61 | 70 | 100 | 72 |
| 3XL | 143 | 104–125 | 148 | 62 | 72 | 101 | 73 |
Reference block: relaxed knit set with full-length pants. Check stretch recovery and fit using the intended fabric.
Tees, Vests & Cami Sets
A reference table for short-sleeve tee and shorts sets. Sleeveless vests and camisoles use different shoulder, sleeve and strap measurements and should be specified separately.

| Size | Bust | Elastic waist | Hip | Sleeve length | Top length | Shorts length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 97 | 68–83 | 105 | 20 | 58 | 33 |
| M | 103 | 73–89 | 110 | 21 | 60 | 34 |
| L | 110 | 79–96 | 117 | 22 | 62 | 35 |
| XL | 118 | 86–104 | 125 | 23 | 64 | 36 |
| 2XL | 128 | 94–114 | 135 | 24 | 66 | 37 |
| 3XL | 139 | 104–125 | 146 | 25 | 68 | 38 |
Sleeve length here applies to the tee example, not camisoles or sleeveless vests. Add strap or armhole measurements for other designs.
Lounge Bottoms & Separates
Reference wide-leg lounge trousers, with hip, inseam and leg-opening measurements. Joggers, cuffed pants and shorts require different lengths and openings.

| Size | Elastic waist | Hip | Inseam | Outseam | Leg opening |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 68–83 | 107 | 68 | 99 | 60 |
| M | 73–89 | 112 | 69 | 100 | 62 |
| L | 79–96 | 119 | 70 | 101 | 64 |
| XL | 86–104 | 127 | 71 | 102 | 66 |
| 2XL | 94–114 | 137 | 72 | 103 | 68 |
| 3XL | 104–125 | 148 | 73 | 104 | 70 |
Leg opening is shown as the full hem circumference in this chart. Confirm waistband relaxed/stretched method and sample dimensions before production.
The reference charts show six garment sizes from S to 3XL. Do not interpret them as a confirmed stock range or universal grading standard. Waist values and key measurement points should be reviewed with the pattern-making team.
Understanding Loungewear Fit
The same size label can look very different across a sweatshirt, a cropped hoodie and a fitted top. Choose the intended silhouette before finalizing garment dimensions.
Oversized
A wider body and often a dropped shoulder, used for relaxed sweatshirts and hoodies.
Relaxed
Comfortable room around the body without an exaggerated silhouette.
Boxy & Cropped
A wider cut with a shorter body length; top length is especially important.
Regular
A closer fit, commonly used for tees and lightweight lounge tops.
Sizing Tops and Bottoms Separately
For Tops
Start with bust or chest measurements, then consider shoulder construction, sleeve length and intended fit. Use the table for the actual top style rather than a general size label.
For Bottoms
Check hips, elastic waist range, inseam and leg opening. Wide-leg trousers and cuffed joggers may share a hip measurement but require different leg specifications.
A brand can request different top and bottom sizing when developing a coordinated loungewear collection. Confirm the intended size pairing during sampling.
Other Size Ranges
Men's, maternity, children's and extended sizes should be developed from appropriate body ranges rather than directly converted from the women's tables.

Loungewear Size Chart FAQ
Are these body or garment measurements?
The five style charts show finished garment measurements. The measurement diagram above explains the difference between measurements taken on the wearer and on the garment.
Why does the same size have different bust measurements across styles?
Different fits need different garment proportions. A relaxed sweatshirt is usually roomier than a close-fitting tee, even when both have the same size label.
Can I provide my own size chart?
Yes. Send your existing chart, tech pack or reference garment, and we can discuss how to adapt measurements for your chosen loungewear styles.
Can the top and bottom be different sizes?
Mixed-size combinations can be discussed for a custom production order. Share your planned size breakdown so the team can review the details before quoting.
Can you develop plus sizes or other size ranges?
Custom sizing and size grading can be discussed for extended and specialist ranges. Final measurement specifications depend on your design, market and approved sample.
